Denton resident’s lives are enriched by our city’s outstanding parks system that includes 32 parks and trails, 27 playgrounds, 25 bridges, 23 pavilions, dozens of sports facilities, 5 recreation centers and gyms and too many classes to count. The Denton Parks Foundation is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of the community and helping fill the gap that exists when the needs surpass the tax dollars available. The Denton Parks Foundation is a separate 501(c)3 organization that collaborates with the Denton Parks and Recreation Department. The Foundation has no direct affiliation with the City as it is governed by its own board of directors.
