In 1995 hundreds of volunteers came together to design and build Eureka Playground– a true labor of love. Today, Eureka remains the most loved playground in Denton.

Eureka was projected to last 20 years—and thousands of children have enjoyed the park during this time. But the cost to maintain the 20-year-old playground to ensure basic safety standards continues to climb and does not meet the newer standards of the Consumer Product
Safety Commission and the American Society for Testing and Materials.
So in 2015, the community will come together to build Eureka 2. Built on the site of the original, the new playground will be approximately 2,500 square feet. And it will be even more accessible to children with special needs. Constructed of recycled materials, it will be durable, earth friendly, long lasting and virtually maintenance free
Like the first playground, Eureka 2 will be built with community participation at every level, while preserving the names of the original volunteers.
The estimated cost of Eureka 2 is $500,000.
Your gifts of time, expertise, and financial support are needed to design and build Eureka 2. Only with your help can Eureka 2 be as amazing as the first playground.
