When communities unite, parks get better

Community Impact

The Denton Parks Foundation provides different types of services in support of our mission. We provide fiduciary services for affiliate groups, mobilize volunteers, offer scholarships and grants, promote and operate events, and provide advocacy and coalition services. The synergy of these services results in improved park maintenance, greater taxpayer support per resident, and an enhanced reputation regarding the quality of our community’s parks.

  Fiscal Sponsorship

We provide 501(c)3 tax-exempt status and services to community groups. Resulting in associations and committees being able to make park and public space projects happen here in Denton.

  Fund Management

We manage and raise restricted and general-purpose funds. Thus, we are the home for donors who want to make long-term and legacy investments in Denton parks and public spaces.

  Park Initiatives

Parks have public health, preservation and conservation implications — like providing places for physical activity and offering safe spaces for children to play. We support and collaborate on City of Denton large-scale community park planning and initiatives.

  Scholarships & Grants

We provide access to recreational opportunities and child care services to children from low-income families. Service scholarships include after-school care, Pre-K, recreational programs, summer camps, and Swim for Life classes.
